Got An Appetite?

Proverbs 16:26 It is good for workers to have an appetite; an empty stomach drives them on.

We are all born with an appetite for the Eternal Word of God, Jesus Christ. He alone is the Bread of Life, the Living Water for which each lonely soul thirsts.  In God alone there is rest for the weary, and peace for broken.  Therefore, it is right that we, God's workers, have an appetite for Him.

Hunger for God drives us ever towards Him.  Once we discover God's infinite love, grace and wisdom, the desire to be in His presence, to see Him shine in Glory, becomes insatiable. To be in His Word, to be singing His praises, to be sharing His message, to give Love in the name of Jesus Christ, and to bring Honor and Glory to the LORD of Hosts.

Rest assured, good worker, your appetite is good for you.  Your appetite is driving you towards your destiny, towards Eternity.  Stay hungry for the LORD, who alone can provide for all of your needs.  You are in His hands.

Atonement For Sin?

Proverbs 16:6 Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin.  By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil.

What revitalizing words for the sinner!  Though we our dead in our sins there is still hope for life!  For God sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to wash His children in His righteousness.   He sent His Son to settle our debts, saving us from the grave, for without Jesus we all fall short of God's glory.   Believe on Jesus, and He will give you new life!

He will give life new meaning, where there was none.  He will give new purpose, where all that remained were shattered dreams.   He will bring your sins into the light, allowing you to nail them to the cross.  Fear of the LORD leads to long life, for His instructions are true and good, and will not lead you off a cliff.  God will lead you towards Himself ~ towards His divine plan for you ~ if you are willing to follow Him.

Love gives (Proverbs 14:31)

Proverbs 14:31 Those who oppress the poor insult their Maker, but helping the poor honors him.

Often when we think of the poor, we think of those who have little money; those who are hungry, homeless, helpless. The dictionary defines poor as: lacking material possessions; of, relating to, or characterized by poverty; less than adequate; small in worth; inferior in quality or value.

Has God created any living thing that is poor in His sight?  How often do we remember those who are poor in spirit? Who are poor in Love? Jesus came to earth to show the greatest love of all eternity ~ a love that gives life. Those who are lacking love, who have not had their fill of the Maker's fine wine, are indeed poor!  Brothers and Sisters, it is our duty as Christians to share our Father's love. We are called to give so much more than mere money!  We are called to give LOVE to one another, so that the WORLD will know we are God's Children!  So the WORLD will know the name of Our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Love has many forms. Love is patient when you don't want to be.  Love gives a smile, an encouraging word, even a compliment, when the giver doesn't feel like it.  Love does not judge.  Love accepts and forgives.  Love is unconditional.

Make a deposit of love into someone's life today.   Give love in honor of The One who loves you!

It's God when...

... your favorite artists stop making music you enjoy; all the new music is booty; the old joints you used to love just ain't doin it for ya...

... you start to notice your own swearing...

... you no longer enjoy your favorite shows, you might have even been offended by the script; you realize reality is in life, not on TV...

... you don't like getting crunk like you used to...

... you don't get satisfaction in shopping; gaming; self [supporting habits healthy or not]...

... you can hear yourself yelling at your kids...

... you want to give, when you used to not want to give ~ money... time... love...

... you want to serve others more, even when it means you don't like what you're doing, to the extent that you used to avoid that task...

... you don't find *enough* in human relationships ~ intimate or otherwise...

... you have no time to worry about what others think, cause Jesus is coming back...

It's God when you want to change your behavior, because when we seek HIM, HE will show us what we need to change.  It's conviction, and it's a sign of God's love for HIS children.  You can read about it in the Bible, Proverbs especially.

THIS IS NOT OUR LIFE!!!!   JESUS IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   How has HE changed you?

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek his will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take…. 11 My child, don’t reject the LORD’s discipline, and don’t be upset when He corrects you. 12 For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.

Proverbs 23:23 Get the truth and never sell it; also get wisdom, discipline, and good judgment.

Proverbs 12:1 To learn, you must love discipline; it is stupid to hate correction.

Proverbs 8:35 For whoever finds me [wisdom, in context] finds life and receives favor from the Lord.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.

Proverbs 25:12 To one who listens, valid criticism is like a gold earring or other gold jewelry.

Proverbs 14:10 Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy.

Proverbs 20:12 Ears to hear and eyes to see: both are gifts from the Lord.

Proverbs 24:3 A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. 4 Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables. 5 The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger. 6 So don’t go to war without wise guidance; victory depends on having many advisers.
